Descriptive card

The Koran. 304 fols of thin paper, 15 lines to the page. The script is a neat naskh with gold margins. The first two and last two pages are fully illuminated in gold and various colours. The binding is Turkish, flapped dark-brown morocco, gilt. Copyist: 'Uthmān al-Shākir ibn Ḥusain 'Kūtāhī', pupil of Sulaimān al-Taufīqī. Dated 1267 (1850-1).
