Descriptive card

The Koran. 477 fols of thin paper, 13 lines to the page. The script is a small, fine naskh with gold margins. The first two pages are fully illuminated in gold and various colours. The bindign is Turkish, flapped dark-red morocco with sunk gilt ornaments. Copyist: Darwīsh 'Alī, pupil of Ismā'īl Efendī.
